ELECTRONICS RESTORATION

Electronics recovery and electronics cleaning is a highly technical field.  Some restoration companies claim to be able to restore electronics, but they lack the technical expertise to do anything more than clean the outside surfaces.  Wiping down the outside of electronic equipment is rarely adequate to guarantee the elimination of odors and contaminants as well as the continued operation of valuable electronic equipment. Our experienced electronic technicians and engineers will disassemble sensitive electronic components to clean every possible internal surface.

Hepa Filter Cleaning

A modified dry HEPA filter vacuuming process is used to remove smoke and soot contamination on electronics.

Air Cleaning

Circuit boards and all electrical contacts are cleaned with alcohol-based solvents along with filtered, compressed air to remove loss-related contamination.

Wet Cleaning

In cases of heavy contamination, equipment is cleaned using a full wet process with the use of de-ionized water and then baked dry in Zodiac’s mobile drying station.

Million Dollar Microscope Restored

Electron Microscope RestorationElectron Microscope Restoration

Located on the second floor of an office building, an electron microscope was exposed to smoke and water contamination due to a fire.  It was not feasible to remove the equipment from the building for restoration due to its size and weight.  Zodiac was able to successfully restore the electron microscope inside the building and then sealed the microscope in air-tight material to protect it from dust while the rest of the building was restored.  By restoring the microscope inside the building, Zodiac was able to keep costs to a minimum.
